Here's a list of everything that's included in your aquascape package.

First I start with the aquarium itself.

OCEANIC AQUARIUMS

These are beautiful additions to your existing furniture and come in a variety of choices to match your decor. The aquascape patterns, based on your selection require certain sizes and patterns.

If you had a "fish tank" in the 1970s, you most likely were the proud owner of some variation of a black trimmed glass box on a simple black wrought iron stand. If you weren't on a budget, you may have also had a strip light of some sort perched on top of your tank and a foil landscape taped to its back. That was pretty much all that was available. While those functional "set-ups" worked fairly well for maintaining garden-variety tropical fish, very little thought was given to how that "set-up" was going to look in your home. Then, in 1975, that all started to change.....

That was the year that two young innovators, disillusioned by this lack of concern with the appearance of aquariums and aquarium cabinetry, began to manufacture beautiful, well-designed aquarium furniture in their Dallas, Texas workshop. Oceanic was born. The enterprise quickly gained momentum, and in 1980 the 10,000 sq.ft. Atlas Aquarium assembly plant in Arlington, Texas, was purchased. There began our ongoing effort to create and refine designs that meet the demands of increasingly sophisticated aquarists. In 1980, Oceanic became part of a national distribution network, and our name soon became known as a "top shelf" brand.

Aquarium Choices:

  • 72 Gallon Bow Front Aquariums:
If you prefer the Bow Front design, consider the 72 gallon Bow Front. A very popular model, the 72 gallon Bow Front sports a roomy 48" wide viewing area. This system provides the volume necessary to maximize your personal options in aquascaping.

  • Show Tanks:
Available in light granite, cherry oak, medium oak, light oak, blak oak and washed oak.

  • Oceanic's quality materials, workmanship, and design... in a word, breathtaking! Designed perfectly for freshwater tropical aquascapes, these aquariums come in a wide range of sizes.

What else is included?

Everything is included in the packages from A-Z. All of the equipment, plants, fish, lighting, filter systems, substrate(gravel), to complete your living aquascape! I use a time tested system that includes the right combination of algae foragers, fish, as well as water chemistry, algae inhibitor device, CO2, and much more.

  • Lighting:
This is extremely important for your live plants successful growth. I use only compact flourescent lights with bulbs that are optimized for lush tropical plant growth. Compact flourescent lights provide the ultimate in high intensity lighting without the heat problems associated with Metal Halide lighting. With more than 50% more lumen output than standard fluorescent lighting, compact flourescent lights are a must for optimizing your aquarium lighting.

  • All plants:
These plants are chosen to compliment each other according to size, texture, and shapes.

  • Fish:
The fish match the region of the aquascape you choose with a few substitutions. For example, I use algae grazers from Japan and Southeast Asia.

  • Chemicals and Food:
All chemicals necessary for proper maintenance and food for the fish is supplied.

  • Aquascaping: This is living art! I am creating a beautiful, ever changing biotope in your living or office space. I include aquascaping and setup for the first month in the package pricing. This is the break in time for your aquarium to cycle and plants to grow, fish to acclimate, etc. One year maintenance contracts are required at one week intervals. Included is automatic lights on - lights off, as well as automatic fish feeding systems as part of the packages. The bottom line is all you have to do is enjoy your living aquascape art!

Incorporating a One-of-a-Kind Design Element to Your Home or Office Using Art, Science, and Technology.

As the turn of the millennium ensued, trends in home and commercial decorating started showing a tremendous increase in creating an atmosphere that is relaxing, soothing, and visually pleasing - creating a place; whether it''s a home, a bank, a restaurant, or a hospital waiting room, that is inviting. To achieve this theme of design, it is essential to incorporate nature.

Builders, architects, and designers are relentlessly searching to create something that enhances their space to uncover the elements of style, often pushing the limits of materials and designs. Today, many are bringing the outdoors indoors, and even underwater. Uniquely creative aquascape designs can serve a dual purpose; they are therapeutic - very soothing and comforting - and can create a unique décor, and visual poetry that is often breathtaking.

And finally; In todays fast paced environment, filled with stressful decisions and choices, bringing living natural art into your home can bring a beautiful balance of peace and joy to all who live there. Aquascaping is such an art, a stunning array of nature brought together in a closed ecological system to sooth even the most frazzled nerves. The lush arrangement of living greenery, combined with the graceful movement of it's living inhabitants is sure to delight all who gaze upon it's contents.
