Meet the Aquascape Artist

I started maintaining aquariums when I was about twelve. I eventually added more aquariums, my father built a double stand for my two largest aquariums and I began breeding guppies for color combinations.
I used genetic charting and chemistry even at that time. I was first introduced to plants in the aquarium when I spotted a watersprite plant in an aquarium magazine. It was beautiful and so I began planting and growing an underwater garden.
At that time the plant selection was very limited. Now we have hundreds of plants to choose from and it makes the possible combinations almost limitless.
I maintain and grow almost all of the aquarium plants used in the aquascapes, to assure quality. I am a member of the Minnesota Aquarium Society as well as the AGA, The Aquatic Gardeners Association. I have studied the world renowned Takashi Amano aquascapes and maintain many friendships with other professional aquarists, water gardeners, and hobbiests. I have three sons and a daughter and my wife Linda at home.
