It relaxes you more than you know!

Aquaticscapes can bring this beauty into your home or office in the form of twenty-seven Dennerle ® aquascapes for freshwater live plant aquariums, that I will aquascape and then maintain for you. Many shapes, sizes, and styles are offered to create one-of-a-kind living pieces of artwork that can either be the centerpiece of a room or building, or just serve as a compliment to the theme of a room.

When creating a design for an aquarium, I have a goal and talent of balancing the compositional elements of design and the principles of nature. I also take into account the architecture and décor of the space that the aquarium will compliment and design your aquascape for the room. Because of my experience, all aquascapes meet both the nutritional and environmental needs of the plants and animals. Aquaticscapes uses proven techniques to insure your aquascapes success.

Studies have shown that stress levels drop dramatically when people watch the inhabitants of the aquaria, it has a very positive long term beneficial effect!

An aquascape is not like a painting in the sense that is is ever evolving and changing.

Imagine recreating the actual conditions and beauty of the Amazon regions, or Southeast Asia, Africa, or India.

The Art of Feng Shui

Traditionally, water is placed in the Northeast (water) and Southeast (wood) sectors of the home. It is also often placed near the main door, but as always in Feng Shui, there are often provisos to each placement, so one should either take consultation or attain reasonable proficiency by studying one or more of the many authoritative books available in any good bookshop. Numbers of fish have some significance in creating an aquarium. Eight is regarded as the most powerful of numbers, though most numbers are acceptable. Four, however, is generally taboo, as the word ‘four’ in Chinese is similar to the word for ‘death’. Finally, a note of caution about the application. Trial and assessment through sensitivity is one’s greatest ally in achieving successful results. Since advice and information can often be disparate, vigilance, awareness and common sense will help one achieve good balance in Feng Shui.

Feng shui literally means wind and water. Water represents wealth and abundance in Feng Shui. Facing gently flowing water, such as a meandering stream, is a major factor in the auspicious placement of a dwelling. This is a part of landscape Feng Shui and of course is seldom possible in the contemporary west. Many Feng Shui masters today substitute roads for streams and using the construction of ‘water dragons’ to enhance the Feng Shui of a home, in particular the wealth aspect, is a complex science in itself. Within the home however, water structures such as fountains, ponds, and aquaria have a powerful effect on one’s wealth, timing and luck when placed properly. This also applies to places of business. It is not merely coincidence that a good 60-70% of the Chinese restaurants you have eaten in have an aquarium, often visible from the entrance - this is Feng Shui! Among the various water structures used, aquaria and ponds are by far, the most potent. It is also rare in the west, for practical reasons, to find ponds in a home, so a medium sized aquarium stocked with healthy, active and colourful tropical fish is always a good idea. In Feng Shui water almost always brings good luck, harmony and good health to a household. It is often advised that the aquarium is placed to the left side of the main door to attract money. The direction is taken when one is standing inside looking out.
